RCACC 2347 ASHofC Army Cadet Corps
Remembrance Day Parade – November 11th, 2023 Hamilton
On November 11th 2023, RCACC 2347 ASH of C Cadets proudly marched in the Hamilton Garrison parade along side their affiliated Regiment, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (P. L.). They marched from the John Foote Armories (JFA) to the Cenotaph at Gore Park, being recognized by their community along the way. WO Kailey Mason and MCpl Kyran Theaker were chosen to read In Flanders Fields during the ceremony which they did with aplomb and conviction. On return to JFA, the Regiment, with the Cadet Corps, performed a march-past celebrating the attendance at the parade by our WWII veteran, 102-year-old Pte Tony Mastromatteo. WO Kailey Mason, MWO Sophie Tysick, MWO Francis Lu and Capt Denise Ohanian-May then had the opportunity to meet Pte. Tony and thank him for his service.
