TAGGING

The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Prince's Louises) 2347 Regimental Army Cadet Corps is a free programme for the young men and women in our community between the ages of 12 to 18 with the primary focus of developing leadership skills, promoting sound citizenship and encouraging physical fitness and healthy lifestyles. In order to fund our programme each year the corps along with our Parent Support Committee conducts a seasonal fundraising drive by offering “Tags of Support” in exchange for a donation. Our “Tag Days” are our primary source of fundraising and allows us to offer activities such as music, leadership training, citizenship training as well as exercises throughout the year in which the cadet can develop numerous skills.

The fact that our corps has been offering this successful youth program to the city of Hamilton since 1949 is also a testament to the long-standing relationship we develop with our community partners. Together we have developed an atmosphere where the sense of history and community have been instrumental in assisting young men and women to follow their dreams, become outstanding citizens in the community in which they live and contribute to later in life.
